Jennifer Moore is the sole Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Foundations Counseling Center, a behavioral health community network and agency in Southern Nevada. The agency was founded by Jennifer Moore in 2003 with the aspiration to help as many individuals as possible to work through their presenting problems, actualize their potential, and achieve their goals. Throughout the last 23 years, Jennifer Moore has worked diligently to expand the practice. Because she is passionate about the work she does, she not only provides clinical services to numerous individuals, but also supervises and trains clinical social work interns and MSW Students to become highly skilled, ethical, and effective therapists themselves.
Prior to establishing the practice, Jennifer Moore worked in mental health inpatient and outpatient facilities, group home settings, and residential treatment centers. She graduated in 1994 with Highest Honors from University of California, Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She was awarded the Katherine Esau Award and the Chairperson’s Award in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 1998, she graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a master’s degree in social work. During her graduate studies, Jennifer Moore published a thesis titled, “Anorexia Nervosa: An Exploration of Early- and Later-Onset.” She became licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the Nevada State Board of Examiners for Social Workers in 2000. Since then, she has received extensive training in various treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, and narrative exposure therapy. She has over 20 years of experience treating individuals, couples, and families struggling with eating disorders, ADHD, co-occurring chronic medical conditions such as juvenile diabetes, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and mental illness.
Aside from operating Foundations Counseling Center, Jennifer Moore is also active in her community. She is affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers. She is a member of the Advisory Council for Horizon View Medical Center. For six years, she served as Vice President and a Board Member for the Nevada Diabetes Association. She also served as a Board Member for Young Men’s Service League and is a current Board Member for Our Helping Paws. Because philanthropy has always been important, Jennifer Moore volunteers her time for various non-profit organizations within Southern Nevada on a regular basis such as F.E.A.T., Share Village, Collaboration Center Foundation, Catholic Charities, JDRF, NDA, and many others.
